Mommy’s Workout

Working out with a little one is hard but I have been doing it for the passed few months and here are my tricks and tips.

First off I always make sure she has been asleep within the last two hours. Plus she always falls asleep on the way to the gym. I make sure to take a few toys and her bottle in with us.

Second we interact while I’m working out! I am always talking to her making faces at her anything to get a smile from her.

Lastly the end of my workouts are always abs and she does them with me. Meaning I use her as my weight! But I never get her out until it is time for that part of the workout!

How Fitness Has Changed My Life

When I started working out I was doing it to have me time. At the time I was working full time at my restaurant me and my husband own. My husband had just been deployed and I felt I was out in the cold alone because my best friend the person I always count on was gone. Yes I could talk to him and FaceTime him everywhere I wanted it wasn’t the same. Him being deployed made me every depressed to the point where I went to bad places in my head.

Working out became my peace, my place to get out of my own head. I started working out 5-6 days a week and this gave me calmness a place where I didn’t have to worry about anything except if I could pick up the weight that was in front of me. True fully it helped me out of a very deep dark depression. This was my first reason for working out.

Then, I learned to love the gym and every aspect of it. The gym became the place I went because I wanted to train. I wanted to grow my body because let me tell you something your body can do every amazing things. I am that person who had never been over 100 lbs in my life and most people don’t see a problem with that but when you want to gain muscles it just about as hard as losing the 10 lbs you want to lose.

Now I’m in the gym trying to get my pre baby body back. I didn’t workout most of my pregnancy because I had a lot going on with my pregnancy. Pregnancy is very different for each person and I am all about working out while being pregnant but at the time I just thought that was what was best for EmileeLayne. She now goes to the gym with me every time I go. I have started back at 3-4 days a week, and I want to work my way back into 5-6 days a week. Right now it’s hard because EmileeLayne is only 8 months old and she doesn’t like sitting in her stroller that long. I will say tho I don’t have a long way to go to get back to my pre baby weight. I was very lucky and didn’t get to big while pregnant. I did have her pretty early and that was probably some of it.

So at this time in life it’s all about toning and tighting up the crazy mommy parts:)!!
